Or how about the day I was roaming through the labyrinthine halls of Jongno’s Hwanghakdong Underground Shopping Center and happened upon the most amazing Korean street food court? I don’t know what it was, but there was just something about the electric energy of that place – the tangled scents of sizzling tteokbokki, savory kimbap, and piping hot Korean fried chicken – that completely captivated me. I must have sampled a dozen different dishes, each one more mouthwatering than the last.
