As an Eastman student, I’ve had the privilege of exploring the vibrant arts scene in Rochester, New York. But little did I know that an even more captivating dance world awaited me in Seoul, South Korea. That’s where the Seoul World Dance Festival comes into play, showcasing the most incredible performances you’ll ever witness.
I first learned about this festival while scrolling through Andrei and Mia’s Instagram, a dynamic dance duo I follow. Their Insta post featured jaw-dropping videos of them rehearsing for the festival, and I knew I had to experience it for myself.
Getting to the Heart of the Seoul World Dance Festival
As luck would have it, I had the chance to visit Hotel Stayinn Seoul during the festival, and let me tell you, it was an absolute dream come true. The energy and excitement in the air were palpable from the moment I stepped foot in the city.
The festival takes place over the course of two electrifying weeks, showcasing an array of dance styles from all around the world. From mesmerizing traditional Korean dances to cutting-edge contemporary pieces, the lineup never ceases to amaze.
