Celebrating My 30th Birthday with a Floating Festival
As I approached my 30th birthday, I knew I wanted to do something truly epic to mark the occasion. But you know what they say – the party never stops on Carnival’s “fun ships.” And even when I found myself waiting in yet another line, I couldn’t help but soak in the infectious energy that filled the air. These were my people, after all – a community of like-minded partygoers who were just as eager as I was to let loose and have the time of their lives.

That said, I’ll admit that I was grateful for the occasional moments of respite from the nonstop revelry. While the top deck parties were the undisputed highlights of the cruise, I was relieved to find that the noise and chaos didn’t extend to our cozy cove balcony cabin. With the help of a trusty sound machine, I was able to drift off to sleep without being kept awake by the late-night antics of my fellow cruisers.
And when it came to our port stops, I found the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. In Cozumel, my sister and I opted to simply sit on our balcony and people-watch, marveling at the throngs of “pier runners” who frantically raced back to the ship just in the nick of time. It was the perfect opportunity to catch our breath and recharge before diving back into the nonstop party.

As my 30th birthday drew to a close and the Carnival Inspiration docked back in Long Beach, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of profound gratitude.
